TILT – Never Ending Story

44,00 €

During lockdown, TILT from Toulouse took on a wild challenge: painting one throw-up a day. More than 700 appeared across his city, only to vanish soon after under layers of buff paint. From this repetitive practice – both ephemeral and obsessive – Never Ending Story was born. A deep dive into the aesthetics of appearance and disappearance, TILT’s throw-up show up, the city removes it, it comes back: both exactly the same and totally different. On 440 pages you find both a tribute to one of graffiti’s most essential practices and reflection on repetition, memory, and the persistence of the trace. With critical essays by David Pontille and Evelyne Toussaint and a foreword by Henry Chalfant.

Featuring international guests such as MOSES, TAPS, SEEN, PEMEX, OS GEMEOS, REMIO, and more.

We recommand also the same named exhibiton catalogue by Hood Projects.
