RAGE – Thousand Wonderful Things

10,00

The catalogues of hood projects are each dedicated to an exhibition in their space in Düsseldorf. The exhibition series is curated by Peter Michalski and Andreas Kopp.

For the last hood projects exhibition of 2024 the two curators exhibit Hamburg’s legendary writer RAGE. As presented in his milestone monograph THE ART OF RAGE he developed to one of the world’s most interesting, ever evolving trainwriters.

The exhibition catalogue introduces a brand new series of works titled Thousand Wonderful Things. Within the last two years RAGE did work on a series in which he used campaign posters from local politicians and their special hollow structure as huge stencils for train pieces. Their durability allowed him to keep these customs made stencils which are now shown at the hood projects gallery.

Besides the original objects, of which some have been rearranged and reused as canvases for screen prints, photographic documentations by Edward Nightingale belong to the catalogue’s content as well. We recommend visiting the exhibition which is still running in Düsseldorf. Opening times are Saturdays, 13:00 – 16:00 and on request (hood projects, Hüttenstraße 150).
