BLACKBOOK 04 – EKSIT

Price range: 45,00 € through 49,00 €

With BLACKBOOK 04 – EKSIT the publication series continues by the team behind one of the world’s biggest blogs on graffiti: ILOVEGRAFFITI. After years of documentation, research, producing and promoting the graffiti subculture, they decided to go straight back to the roots: A writer’s blackbook. In the pre-internet era of analog photography the blackbook had an unique status. It often featured the writer’s best works, drafts, sketches from friends or tags from heroes – a private portfolio.

For the fourth volume of the ongoing series Düsseldorf based EKSIT is in the spotlight. After being active for over 30 years on local, national and international train systems it was time to pay closer attention to him since he is one of these guys you always stumble across here and there and who has never really been away. From his early 90s beginnings as CHAK or CHUKIE to Paris tunnel missions or Berlin adventures the hardcover invites us to finally see the whole picture and get an impression of EKSIT’s immense output.

Besides more than 550 photos from the last three decades that also show burners by companions like ATEK, LITE, RUZD79, MICRO, SEMO, DOLF, MOAR, LASER, ACID79, TRUE, TEZA, HEMAN or TIN, he also gives insight through text parts as well as befriended writers from his writing career as AGIT, FUME, JAKE, LEEDS, MASON, MICKEY, OPAK, ROY or UNIT on 128 pages.

The hardcover book is carefully produced in Germany with a robust structured cover material inspired by old blackbooks and an additional silver tag debossing. A limited edition of 250 copies comes signed and numbered by EKSIT and will also include two prints. The Regular Edition is the same book, but not signed, numbered and without prints.
