In 2014 Andrew Townsend did found a new art magazine: The-Art-Form. In each issue selected artists are invited to answer and/or work on a form with several questions concerning their art. This narrow concept opens an interesting and entertaining wide range of possible ways to respond to the same questions in each chapter of each volume. An additional interview digs deeper and includes also more specific questions to the artists.

For the eighth issue the Brazilian OSGEMEOS twins were chosen to be the volumes main feature but also curate the whole content. Besides their own chapter they did invite José Parlá, Todd REAS James, Thiago Toes, Cláudio ISE Duarte and Jade Marangolo to work on the form which features questions like “Why do you make art?” or “What are your main influences?”. The replies range from handwritten texts to already existing works of art which fit the topic to artworks which have been produced as a respond.

Each issue is produced as limited edition and is a collectible itself. We imported a stack of the UK-based magazine for our stock so do not miss the chance to grab a copy before they are gone.
