EGS – This Could Go on Forever

17,00

EGS from Finland is one of the few examples of writers who successfully made it into the art world with writing related works, while on the same time he did not stop to do traditional graffiti pieces outside his atelier. The urge to still go out and paint and working on his style seems to interact with the variety of works shown in his exhibitions.

This Could Go on Forever is his latest exhibition (September 2022 – March 2023) in the Serlachius Museums in Mänttä, Finland. To this occasion a beautiful exhibition catalogue was published by the museums. The complete 64-paged content is printed in newspaper format and on matching paper that is protected by a high quality cardboard slipcase.

The catalogue includes an introduction and essay by the director as well as by the curator of the Serlachius museums. Added is an extensive and in-depth interview with the writer on many aspects of his work and the balancing act between exhibited works and his ongoing process of painting pieces, most often on abandoned factory walls. A big selection of atmospheric photos rounds out the insight the reader gets in this lovely made publication.
