PFFF JOURNAL 2024

20,00

Magazine for graffiti, art and culture.

The PFFFestival is a new annual non-profit event in the city of Stuttgart which was launched in 2022. Local and international artists come together and design chosen facades with gigantic murals all around town. Each year an accompanying magazine will be published on the participating artists and related topics in German and English language. It features scientific essays, interviews and exhibition catalogue like portraits of the artists.

This year’s fresh from print volume has grown 20 additional pages compared to the previous issue. Besides the common presentation of the festival’s participating artists the 2024 edition especially spotlights political intentions in graffiti. Five major texts focus on this topic, e.g. the use of national socialist aesthetics and symbols in trainwriting with examples and statements from MOSES, TAPS, KID CRAP, or the Berlin based MRN crew. The chapters on Max Czollek, MASON, Reclaim Your City or a part on memorial graffiti after the Hanau terror attacks touch these thematics as well.
