It was the year 1992 when the first writing focused publication from Berlin was released: The now legendary OVERKILL magazine. In the freshly reunited Berlin the two passionate writers INKA and REW were two of the few writers back then who did seriously document the growing scene, not only their own pieces. A rare occasion in times of analogue photography and mediocre cameras.

With their regularly published magazine the team did not only kept track of the Berlin scene and its most important players, they also managed to develop an unique style of arranging the texts and photos, since every volume was handmade with handwriting and cut-outs. With OVERKILL LEGACY 1992-1999 the first ten issues are now available as one massive large sized hardcover.

For the first time ever all photos are printed in colour and the texts have been translated to English to enjoy written contents from SHEK, ODEM, DONDI, BISAS, POET, AMOK, PHOS4, ATOM, ZHIT, SARE62, A-ONE, KANE, DOC, ESO, DEJOE, FOK, OXBOE, KENT, IRON, TFB, CRITAZ, BFM, REW and of course INKA.

Editor INKA did dig deep into his archives to provide extra content for you as well: Additional photos are now part of the magazines, each issue opens with an explanatory text on its history and completely new texts by PHOS4, AMOK, MODE2, TORCH and INKA can be found in the LEGACY volume. On almost 400 pages you will get the most complete collection of OVERKILL’s first decade with more than 2500 shots from Berlin’s golden stylewriting era in a lovely produced swiss brochure binding hardback.
