BUS126 – Magic is live

Seven years after his major publication LET’S DISAPPEAR the avant-garde abstract writer BUS126 is back with a thick packed book: Magic is live!

While the artist with roots in the Berlin oldschool graffiti scene recently exhibited his works at the Under the Milky Way show in Hannover and was invited to the Hood Projects gallery in Düsseldorf the brand new book sums up his latest positions and mainly shows non-authorized works in public space. Stylistically BUS126 seems to dissolve more and more from letter forms but at the same time manages to keep a hastily and vivid aesthetic when leaving his marks in the most uncommon places.

Magic is live shows inside and outside monumental works on the ground, his outstanding illuminated paintings on windows, wholecars on abandoned S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains, trucks, marks on concrete structures, pipes or a remarkable series of garden sheds. The selection of sites and surfaces to paint on seems to be more selective and thought out in the 288-paged book. Intense night shots of his works breathe the spirit of a just finished illegal action. A series of black drawings on green paper has been added to the content as well as poetic thoughts and statements in German and English by the artist.

The softcover includes collaborations with BILGE, PRALL, DIAMONDS, Anastasia Mikrou, Osif Seiksuh, HAMS, AKIM, KATDOG and GARADOSZ. It is exclusively available at Hitzerot and comes as limited first print run of 200 copies only!

Magic is live is also available as a rare Special Edition with a high quality screen print cover including an original drawing by BUS126. Only 23 copies were made, they are hand numbered and signed. You can get them here in our shop.
