On Platform 2: The European Edition (KAOS, TRIPL, VINO)

“The second edition of our ‘On Platform’ exhibition series is dedicated to three of Europe’s most famous train bombers: KAOS from Sweden, TRIPL from the Netherlands and VINO from Spain. Each of them has been painting trains for several decades, and over the course of their respective careers they have placed countless images on local and long-distance rail vehicles. They have become legends in their own countries and deservedly occupy a prominent place in the general history of style writing.
But the three artists are not only distinguished by their consistent actions, but also in particular by their inventiveness, which is reflected in a personal style and groundbreaking ideas. As in our first show, the three artists paint in ‘On Platform 2: The European Edition’ the model of a ‘Silberling’. In this way, this typical German old school train car becomes a connecting element across borders, similar to style writing since it left the USA and went out into the world 40 years ago.”
