Barry McGee is a San Francisco based graffiti writer and artist, pioneering the Bay Area Mission School art movement. Starting writing in the late 1980s within two decades he became internationally known for his brilliant handstyle tags as TWIST, his screw logo/moniker, characteristic heads, patterns, letter designs, sign painting and artworks which directly connect to the writing lifestyle.

From April 2025 on McGee did exhibit in the well known international Perrotin gallery in Paris. His visit to the French capital of course lead to certain accompanying activities with befriended visitors as well as locals and had an undeniable aftermath. Board Meeting – X.I.T. is a 128-paged book having this time and events in focus, but also features sporadic works done in Japan or the United States.

From Paris subways panels, trucks, countless tagging actions shots, throw-ups, group photos, exhibition views, meetings with Martha Cooper or even CORNBREAD are part of the well mixed content. Each spread is a wild collage of authentic impressions and reminds of a travel diary. With additional contributions and apparences by: Jesse Geller, Thomas Crubezy, Julien Couic, Isaac Tin Wei Lin, Amaury Choay, Ambroise Degenne, Max Dimonte Marciano, Derek James Marshall, Trace Marshall, Thibault Choay, Nils Müller, May Sorat, Hugo Vitrani, and more.
